Immediate opening for a Senior IT Business Analyst which is accountable for fostering and managing effective partnerships with IT groups, business unit project sponsors and clients to develop both SAP and non-SAP solutions that meet the business unit strategic and tactical goals and
objectives. This individual will be involved with gathering & translating / interpreting business strategies into IT requirements.
The key focus area for this role will be in the SAP BW/MM/PP area, however, not all inclusive.
Responsibilities
- Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business processes and requirements for SAP and non-SAP projects to solve problems presented by the client business unit or leverage opportunities towards business process improvements.
- Works with internal and external parties to identify project scope and impact to business productivity; gather business requirements from project stakeholders.
- Design, develop, test and implement appropriate system configurations to effectively meet business requirements.
- Converts business requirements and plans into actionable solutions and IT services (SAP or otherwise).
- Manages a detailed business specific software portfolio, including vendor relationships, negotiations, industry group interactions and long term strategies.
- Develops functional and design specifications; works with IT and varied business groups to coordinate requirements gathering and make recommendations for process improvement as needed.
- Documents requirements, defines scope/objectives, and formulates systems to parallel overall business strategies.
- Prepares and delivers timely, well-organized and informative presentations including training and process recommendations.
- Leads and coordinates user acceptance testing; write test cases, ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported and resolved in a timely manner.
Qualifications.
* Bachelors Degree in IT or Business preferred.
* 5+ years of demonstrated functional SAP focus in BW/MM/PP. This includes super-user level of BW and business process improvements within SAP BW/MM/PP.
* 3+ years of professional experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting and Data Warehousing
* Functional business process knowledge of Procurement, preferable with an emphasis within Supply Chain Management.
* Ability to communicate effectively across all audiences, both technical and business and demonstrated aptitude to influence.
* Able to analyze needs and requirements to create functional designs.
* Ability to apply technical understanding to highly complex SAP and non-SAP
technical solutions.
* Ability to translate business functional needs into technical requirements.
* Ability to work with business users to ensure agreed upon project timelines are met
* Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
* Strong IT business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
